A Summer of Fiber, Nature & Creativity with Athens Fibercraft Guild Summer Exhibition

I’m so happy and honored to have been part of the Athens Fibercraft Guild (AFG) Summer Exhibition at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Athens, GA from June through August 2026.

This wonderful exhibition brought together 27 talented AFG members, showcasing a beautiful collection of fiber artworks and celebrating the creativity, patience, and incredible hand skills behind each piece. From traditional techniques to contemporary fiber art, every artwork reflected the unique personality and imagination of its maker. 🎨✨

I was especially excited to have two of my natural-dyed silk scarves included in the exhibition. Both pieces were hand-dyed using dried flowers and botanical materials, allowing the colors, shapes, and delicate details of nature to become part of the fabric. Each piece is a little different and carries the quiet beauty and unpredictability that I love about natural dyeing.

Being part of this exhibition was more than simply showing my work. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with other fiber artists, share ideas, appreciate different techniques, and be part of such a welcoming and creative community. I feel truly grateful to be a member of AFG and to continue learning and creating alongside so many talented people. 💕🧵

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition and supported our work. Your encouragement, kind words, and appreciation meant so much to all of us. ❤️

I’m grateful for this beautiful summer filled with fiber, flowers, creativity, and community. 🌸🍃
